Early Life
Nancy Mace was born in December 1977 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Her dad, James Emory was a U. S. Army officer, and her mom, Anne Mace was a schoolteacher. Regarding her education, she studied at The Citadel’s Corps of Cadets program and became the first lady to graduate from the senior military college in 1999.
Mace then attended the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia. After graduating from the University, she started The Mace Group, a public relations and consulting firm in 2008. After that, she partnered with a news website, FITSNews in 2012.

Earlier in 2012, she volunteered for the presidential candidate campaign, Ron Paul. Soon after a year, she announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination in the 2014 election. She was one of the candidates for the U. S. Senate in South Carolina. However, she stood at the bottom in the primary election.
In 2016, she became coalition director and field director for the presidential candidate Donald Trump. In September 2017, she announced her candidacy to run for the South Carolina State House District 99. However, she just fell short of 13 votes in winning the Republican primary election. However, in the November 28 runoff, she won over Mount Pleasant town councilman Mark Smith.
Mace officially took office in January 2018 after defeating Democrat Cindy Boatwright in the general election receiving 57% votes. Then, in June 2019, she announced that she would be seeking the Republican nomination for South Carolina’s first congressional district. She eventually won the seat in a surprise victory in 2018.
Mace later won the primary election receiving 57.7% of the vote. In November 2021, she assumed office defeating Cunningham in the November general election. Even though she supported Donald Trump earlier, later, she criticized him for his decision to attack the U. S. Capitol. She also voted against impeaching Trump. However, later she was seen defending Trump after he was charged with mishandling classified documents.
In May 2021, Nancy voted against the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act. She stood against the bill stating that the act didn’t address discrimination against the Asian-American people in higher education. Later, she criticized Lauren Boebert, a fellow Republican Congresswoman for making anti-Muslim comments on Democrat Ilhan Omar.
Mace also raised her voice against a Democratic proposal to grant the District of Columbia statehood in April 2021. While opposing the proposal, she stated D. C. was not too big to qualify as a state. She further stated that D. C. would not even be eligible to qualify as a single congressional district.
Personal Life
Nancy Mace has been married twice. She first exchanged wedding vows with a lawyer and JAG Corps officer, Chris Niemiec in 1999. After staying three years together, she separated from Chris. Then, she tied the knot with Curtis Jackson in 2004. She had two kids from her second marriage, which ended in 2019.
In 2022, she became engaged to Patrick Bryant, an entrepreneur. However, the pair broke up less than 18 months after getting engaged. After splitting up, they got into a messy legal battle over the multi-million-dollar house they purchased together. They are also fighting over a beachfront property, which reportedly cost around $3.9 million.
Mace reportedly found Bryant on a dating app. While she was dating him, she used to openly discuss her sex life in the office in front of her male junior staffers. One of her staff revealed that she used to make sexual references and discuss things in the office that were not appropriate. After breaking up with Bryant, Mace nor her ex-beau has filed a lawsuit. However, according to her three sources, the Republicans would take legal action over the properties.
