Early Life

Kurt Kitayama was born in January 1993 in California. He was raised by his parents, Rumiko and Clifford. Kurt grew up with his elder brother, Daniel, who works as a professional caddie. Daniel also played golf at the University of Hawaii from 2007-2008. Regarding his education, he attended Chico High School and earned a graduation degree in 2011. Following high school, he studied at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and graduated in 2015.

In September 2021, he competed at the Korn Ferry Tour Finals and finished 23rd. After a year, he played at The Honda Classic and finished as first runner-up. Then, he improved his game and finished T2 at the Mexico Open. Kitayana recorded his maiden PGA Tour win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
