Early Life
Jon Rahm was born in November 1994 in Barrica, Biscay. He was raised by his parents, Edorta, and Angela. His father is a former soccer player who used to play as a goalkeeper. As per sources, his dad currently works in the gasoline industry.
Rahm grew up with his elder brother, Eriz, who works as a set designer at a theatre, the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao. Regarding his education, Rahm received a gold scholarship and studied at Arizona State University. From there, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.

Jon Rahm represented his country at various levels while playing as an amateur. He was also one of the members of Spanish teams that secured victory at the European Boys’ Team Championship in 2011 and the European Amateur Team Championship in 2014. Jon grabbed the Ben Hogan Award for two consecutive years in 2015 and 2016.
In 2015, Rahm competed in the Phoenix Open as an amateur golfer. At the golf event, he finished in fifth place. Soon, he was ranked the Number 1 amateur golf player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. At first, he held the number 1 rank for 25 consecutive weeks. Then, he again regained the top rank and held it for 35 weeks.
Rahm was still ranked Number 1 when he moved to the quarterfinals of the U. S. Amateur in 2015. That same year, he was awarded the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the leading golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. After winning the McCormack Medal, he qualified for the two golf events, the Open and the U.S. Open Championship. Rahm finished his collegiate career after winning an NCAA regional championship title.
Jon turned professional in 2016 and played his first golf event at the Quicken Loans National. At the golf tournament, he finished tied for 3rd place and subsequently regained entry into The Open. Then, he competed in the RBC Canadian Open and finished tied runner-up in the golf event. Then, he played at the Farmers Insurance Open and secured his maiden PGA Tour victory.

After Rahm won the title, he became the fourth golf player from Spain to secure the Masters Tournament. In December 2023, Jon announced that he had officially joined LIV Golf. Nevertheless, before that, he was not in favor of LIV Golf, and neither liked the format. After joining the LIV Golf, he was suspended from the PGA Tour.

Jon Rahm married his wife, Kelley Cahill in 2019. He and his better half have known each other since their college days. Both started dating when they were studying at Arizona State University. Kelley has always been Rahm’s side. She shared a loving embrace with Rahm when he won his first-ever Masters Victory in April 2023.
Together, they share two sons. They welcomed their first son, Kepa just a few days before the beginning of the 2021 Masters. Cahill used to play track and field for the ASU. She also threw javelin and had the career-best throw record in 2013. Cahill also played tennis in high school.
