Early Life

Brendon Todd was born in July 1985 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was only 5 when he would tag along with his brothers and father to play golf. Brendon soon developed a love for the game and continued to play golf in school and University.

Todd attended Green Hope High School where he won NCHSAA 4A classification individual title three times. He claimed the individual championship title in his freshman, senior, and junior seasons. Following high school, he joined the University of Georgia. While studying there, he earned All-American honors for four years. Todd also won the National Championship as a part of Georgia’s golf team in 2005.

Career & Net Worth

Brendon Todd won the Utah Championship in 2008. After winning the title, he made it into the top 20 on the money list and eventually secured his place on the PGA Tour in 2009. That same year, he competed on the Nationwide Tour’s Athens Regional Foundation Classic.

Todd made an ace at the same hole twice in the tournament and became the first golfer to hit twice in the same event. He hit his ace on the 17th hole on the 157-yard during the first round on April 16, 2009. Todd followed up with another ace the next day from 147 yards with an 8-iron.

Brendon could not earn a 2010 tour card as he made only 5 cuts in his rookie season in 2009. After that, he rejoined the Nationwide Tour and got a slow start in 2011. He eventually finished as a medalist in the qualifying school at the end of the season. With that, he made a comeback to the PGA Tour. In 2012, he retained his status on the PGA Tour and finished 150th place on the PGA Tour’s money list.

Todd secured his second victory at the Stadion Classic at UGA in 2013. With the victory, he finished in 20th place on the season money list and also earned a PGA Tour card for 2014. Todd registered his maiden PGA Tour win at the HP Byron Nelson Championship in his 77th start.

Brendon earned a two-year tour exemption with his first PGATour win. Along with that, his first PGA Tour victory secured him a place at The Masters in 2015. He also moved into the Top 60 in the golf ranking and subsequently entered his first major, the U. S. Open. In 2014, he moved to 40th in the world rankings. However, he could not continue his good form, and the series of bad finishes cost him his Tour card for the 2015-16 season.

Brendon won his second PGA Tour event at the Bermuda Championship in November 2019. He got the victory over Harry Higgs by four shots. Todd found his form back with the victory as he previously could not cut in 37 out of 40 starts. During that time, he also fell outside the list of top 2000 golfers. He even struggled to make it through the second stage of Qualifying School.

Todd also had a second plan if he did not have won his second PGA Tour win. He would rather start a restaurant franchise after retiring from his golf career. Todd subsequently got his second straight win to claim his third PGA Tour victory at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in November 2019.

Todd dropped back to a T11 finish after shooting a 75 in the last round of the Travelers Championship in June 2020. Then, he competed at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. He recorded his best finish in the WGC event at St. Jude where he just fell sort by 6 shots behind the winner.

Personal Life

Brendon Todd is married to Rachel Moore, the youngest daughter of Kathy and Dr. Stephen Moore. The pair tied the knot on March 12, 2009 in Greensboro. After exchanging wedding vows, the two flew to Mexico to celebrate their honeymoon. In March 2021, Todd shared an Instagram post on their 12 marriage anniversary where he wrote he can’t imagine doing life with anyone except her.

Todd and Rachel share three kids, two sons and a daughter. Rachel has always stood as a strong support during Todd’s dark days. She also never forced him to quit the sport as she was aware of how much he loved golf. The lovely pair was featured in a YouTube video by PGA Tour where they gave a quick tour of their favorite destinations in Atlanta.
