Adam Hadwin was born in November 1987 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He was raised by his parents, Brenda and Gerry Hadwin. His dad is a businessman, and his mom works at SEARS Canada as a Senior Manager of Merchandising operations. Both his parents have shown unwavering support towards his golf career.

Hadwin’s dad didn’t miss a shot when he won his first PGA Tour win. At the same time, his mother was very nervous and spent Sunday pacing the floor of their Abbotsford house. When it comes to watching her son competing at a major golf event, she finds it very stressful. She even didn’t turn on the TV until Adam was on the 18th green. For his higher studies, he received a golf scholarship to study at the University of Louisville.

Adam Hadwin began his professional golf career after graduating from college. He played his first professional game on the Vancouver Golf Tour at the Ledgeview Open. In 2009, he secured four victories in the VGT events. That same year, he won at the Gateway Tour event.

Hadwin earned exempt status in 2010 and subsequently joined the Canadian Tour. Then, he competed in his first PGA Tour event in the 2010 RBC Canadian Open. He continued his professional journey and competed in the 2010 Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic, where he finished 33rd place. In September, he returned home and got the victory at the Vancouver City Open.

Adam’s next professional win came at the 2010 Desert Dunes Classic. After that, he appeared on the Canadian Tour and recorded 6 top-10 finishes. In March 2011, he registered a second win at the Canadian Tour event and took home US $23,400. Hadwin competed in his first major championship in the 2011 U. S. Open.

Hadwin continued his good form and got victory at the 2011 Vancouver Open. That same year, he earned a sponsor’s exemption to compete in the Fry’s.com Open where he finished T-7. Hadwin competed at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July 2023. However, he could not win the event after making it to a playoff with Collin Morikawa. In February 2024, he drove to TPC Scottsdale to witness his buddy Nick Taylor’s winning moment at the WM Phoenix Open. Taylor eventually won the event in a sudden death-off. But, unlike his previous incident at the Canadian Open, he stayed calm and didn’t run towards Taylor with a bottle of champagne. Previously, he was tackled by security for trying to spray champagne on Taylor after he won the Canadian Open.

Adam Hadwin is married to Jessica Dawn Kippenberger, a nurse practitioner. They met first time in 2014 through the dating app, Tinder. Hadwin told to news outlet that he met Jessica in Wichita while playing an event. The pair tied the knot after Hadwin won his maiden PGA Tour title at the Valspar Championship in 2017.

Adam and Jessica reportedly had two failed pregnancies. They finally became parents of a daughter, Maddox in 2020. As per sources, their daughter was born via in vitro fertilization (IVF).
